New White Paper on HFCs

by Georges  February 10, 2010

Earlier this month, Kyoto Publishing, as part of its Awareness into Action series released a white paper I authored that takes a look at HFCs - HFCs in Fire Protection Systems: An Invisible and Unnecessary Climate Threat.

While responsible for only a relatively small part of total HFC use, fire suppression systems have the opportunity to employ effective alternatives that pose a lesser climate risk.  As such, I contend that HFCs for fire suppression shouldn't be part of a special set-aside for HFCs used in air conditioning and refrigeration under pending climate legislation.
