Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) is a university in Karlskrona, Sweden focused on Applied Information Technology and Sustainable Development of Industry and Society, and the home of the Master's program in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability (MSLS). Greenland carried out a strategic development project which included creating the StratLeade Network to connect the students, alumni, and business partners of this innovative new program. We also created StratLeade Sustainability Education, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that will partner with MSLS and raise funds for the program and other initiatives educating people about strategic sustainable development.
Brookwood is a warm, child-centered community of exuberant learners with an unparalleled commitment to both the development of the mind and the development of the self. Brookwood strives to graduate academically-accomplished individuals of conscience, character and compassion. Greenland has provided coaching to its excellent teaching staff to find innovative ways to integrate sustainability concepts into the student experience.
Kigali City Park is a development project in the center of Kigali, Rwanda. The park aims to provide a safe and fun venue for the people of Kigali and beyond to enjoy some leisure time outdoors. It will include walking trails, amusement rides, food stands, and a large lake with rowboats and walking bridges, and it promises to spark needed economic development to the country by attracting tourists, providing jobs, etc. Working with local experts on the ground in Rwanda, Greenland carried out a high-level Environmental Impact Assessment of the project and a Sustainability Overview, identifying potential negative social, environmental, and economic impacts of the project, as well as concrete measure to avoid them, while creating previously unconsidered opportunities.
Second Nature is a non-profit organization that works to develop the national capacity of colleges and universities to make the principles of sustainability the foundation of all learning, practice, and collaboration with local communities. Greenland is working closely with Second Nature on a variety of projects related to sustainability in higher education, including the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment and initiatives with the Higher Education Associations' Sustainability Consortium (HEASC).
Twice Shy is a clothing company making cool, urban clothes from organically grown and sustainable fabrics, out to prove to the world that sustainability can be sexy. Greenland has worked with Twice Shy to further hone their already strong sustainability policies, and rock their styles whenever possible.
